Terms of Service
By creating an account or using SEIRS services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use our platform.
1. About SEIRS
SEIRS Company Ltd (RC 7731350), trading as SEIRS Logistics ("SEIRS", "we", "us"), is a Nigerian technology company with its registered office at 30 Raji Street, Dopemu, Agege, Lagos State. We operate a platform that connects customers and businesses with independent drivers and partner stores for parcel delivery, rides and intercity shared travel ("Travel Buddy"). We are a technology intermediary: we do not own delivery vehicles or operate physical stores.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to create any account. You confirm this when you sign up. We may close any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 18
- A business run by or for a person under 18 must be registered and operated by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the account
- You must provide accurate, complete and current information, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Nigerian law
- One person may not maintain multiple active accounts of the same type
3. Account Types
3.1 Customer Accounts
Individual users sending parcels. You are responsible for accurate pickup and delivery information, correct package descriptions, and ensuring packages do not contain prohibited items.
3.2 Business Sender Accounts
Companies or sole traders sending parcels in bulk. Subject to additional KYC verification. Business accounts pay for each booking at the time it is made.
3.3 Driver Accounts
Drivers are independent contractors, not employees, agents or partners of SEIRS. Drivers choose when to go online. Jobs may be assigned automatically to online drivers or taken from the open job list, and a driver may decline any job by cancelling it. SEIRS sets all prices, and drivers see their earnings for every job in the app. Drivers who cancel jobs frequently may be placed lower in the queue for new jobs.
Every driver must pass SEIRS's identity review (government ID or NIN slip, and a selfie) and provide vehicle photos. In addition:
| Vehicle | Additional requirements |
|---|---|
| Bicycle | None beyond identity review and vehicle photos; must follow traffic rules and any state or local restrictions |
| Motorcycle, tricycle | Valid driver's licence of the correct class; vehicle papers; valid insurance as required by law; any state or local permit required where operating |
| Car, van, truck | Valid driver's licence of the correct class; vehicle papers; valid insurance as required by law |
Drivers are responsible for safe vehicle operation, for complying with all traffic and local laws (including restrictions on commercial motorcycles in parts of Lagos), and for their own taxes.
3.4 Partner Store Accounts
Physical store operators who receive and hold packages on behalf of customers. Partner stores earn a per-package fee as set out in their partner agreement. Each fee can be withdrawn to the store's bank account once it has cleared, currently 7 days after it is earned. Stores must maintain the agreed storage capacity and operating hours.
4. Prohibited and Restricted Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from our platform:
- Illegal substances, narcotics, or controlled drugs
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Stolen goods or counterfeit products
- Hazardous materials (flammable, corrosive, toxic, or radioactive)
- Currency, bearer bonds, or negotiable instruments exceeding ₦500,000
- Items prohibited under Nigerian law
SEIRS reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or report any delivery we reasonably suspect contains prohibited items. The sender is solely liable for the contents of any package.
4.1 Perishable and temperature-sensitive items
Hot food, chilled and frozen goods and other perishable items are carried. They are not prohibited and need no prior arrangement: each is its own service category in the app, priced on its own rate card, and restricted to the vehicle types that category allows.
Because a perishable parcel loses its value within hours and becomes a health liability after that, it follows a shortened exception path rather than the ordinary one. A perishable order is never held at a partner counter, never enters storage, and is not held back for a second delivery attempt. Where the handover cannot be completed, SEIRS contacts the sender, and if the item cannot be delivered or returned within the perishable window shown in the app it may be disposed of the same day, with photographic evidence retained. Section 8.4 governs and, for perishable items, prevails over the storage and further-attempt provisions elsewhere in these Terms.
4.2 Live animals
Live animals are carried. They are not prohibited: the category is priced on its own rate card, and can only be booked on the vehicle types the app allows for it, which are those with enclosed, ventilated load space. The following conditions apply, and are the sender's responsibility:
- The sender must provide humane, secure and lawful containment suitable for the whole journey, with adequate ventilation, and remains responsible for the animal's condition throughout
- The sender must hold every permit, movement certificate and clearance the movement requires, including those required to cross a state boundary, and must produce them on request
- A live animal is handed to a person at the delivery address. It is never left at a gate, with a neighbour, or with any other third party, and it is never held at a partner counter or placed into storage
- SEIRS carries animals. We do not provide veterinary care, feeding, watering, welfare inspection, or any other form of animal husbandry, and none should be assumed
- A driver may refuse a job, or end one already under way, where an animal is unsafely or unlawfully contained, or where continuing would be unlawful or unsafe
- Because an animal cannot be held at a counter, an animal that cannot be handed over is returned to the pickup address under Section 8.6, and is not routed into the storage path in Section 8.2 or 8.3
5. Pricing and Fees
- Delivery prices are calculated based on distance, weight, vehicle type, and current fuel/FX rates
- The price shown when you review a booking is locked to that quote. A booking placed while that quote still holds is charged at exactly the price shown to you, not at a recalculated figure
- If the quote lapses before you book, we refuse the booking rather than repricing it silently, and show you the current price again before any payment is taken. You are never charged a price you have not seen and accepted
- Fees that can arise after a booking (redirection to a partner counter, counter handling, storage, and return to sender) are separate from the delivery price and arise only in the circumstances set out in Section 8. Each is shown in the app, at the amount then applying, and is agreed before it is incurred
- All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦)
- A service fee applies to every parcel booking and ride, currently ₦300, and is included in the price shown
- SEIRS reserves the right to adjust pricing with 7 days' notice for non-contracted accounts
- Drivers are paid for each job at rates SEIRS sets, which are separate from the price the customer pays, and see their earnings for every job in the app. Driver rates may change with 14 days' notice
- Customers and business accounts earn loyalty points on paid deliveries and can exchange them for the rewards shown in the app, currently ₦500 off for 500 points or a free delivery of up to ₦3,000 for 1,000 points. Points expire 12 months after they are earned, and points earned on a refunded booking are removed
- Promo codes take money off one booking, before you pay. Only one discount applies to a booking, so a code cannot be combined with loyalty points, and a booking paid with a code earns no points. Each code has its own dates and may need a minimum delivery price, be limited in number, or be limited to one use per person, which we count by account, phone number and device. SEIRS may pause or end a promotion; a code already applied to a booking stays applied to it. Codes have no cash value, and a refund is of the amount you paid
- Where these Terms state an amount, time or limit that the app also shows, the figure shown in the app at the time applies
6. Payments and Refunds
- Payments are processed via Flutterwave, a CBN-licensed payment service provider
- Senders pay for each booking at the time it is made. SEIRS does not operate a wallet, stored-value account, or prepaid balance of any kind for customer or business senders, and does not accept money on deposit
- Refunds for failed or cancelled deliveries are returned to the original payment method. A refund to a bank account usually arrives within a day; a refund to a card can take 3 to 15 days, depending on your bank
- Someone else can pay for your booking. From the payment screen you can send them a link; they see your first name, the towns the booking runs between, the number of parcels and the amount, and pay by card or bank transfer through Flutterwave. You stay responsible for the booking itself: the pickup, the drop-off and any changes
- While you wait for them, the booking is held unpaid, currently for up to 24 hours. If nobody pays by then it is released like any unpaid booking. You can still pay it yourself at any time, and if both of you pay, the second payment is refunded in full
- Any refund, or deposit returned, on a booking paid this way goes back to the card or account the person who paid used
- If a booking paid this way ends at a partner counter, what is left of the deposit pays the storage there first (Section 8.3), and the rest goes back to the person who paid when the package is collected, returned or treated as abandoned. Only storage beyond it is payable before release
- So the link cannot be used to hold bookings or send payment requests in bulk, an account can ask someone else to pay a limited number of times a day, currently 5
- Driver payouts: earnings from a completed job clear after 2 business days and are then paid out automatically once a day by bank transfer. Drivers may also withdraw cleared earnings at any time. The minimum withdrawal is ₦1,000 and the daily maximum is ₦200,000
- New drivers: for their first 30 days, the daily maximum is ₦50,000 and 10% of each payout is held back against chargebacks, then released
- Partner stores: each fee can be withdrawn once it has cleared, currently 7 days after it is earned
- Payouts go to the Nigerian bank account on the account, subject to identity verification. SEIRS is not liable for delays caused by banks or payment infrastructure
6A. Cancellations, waiting and no-shows
Your payment is held until your job is complete. Every amount below is shown in the app before you pay, and the figure shown in the app at the time applies.
| When you cancel | What it costs | What comes back |
|---|---|---|
| Before paying | Nothing | Not applicable |
| After paying, before a driver is assigned | ₦100. Nothing once we have looked for a driver for 10 minutes | The rest |
| Within 2 minutes of a driver being assigned, before they have set off | Nothing | Everything |
| Once a driver is on the way | The service fee plus the driver's pay for the trip so far (₦200 plus fuel for the distance), and at least ₦500. The driver's part is paid to the driver | The rest |
| Your driver is 10 or more minutes later than the time we estimated | Nothing | Everything |
| After the parcel is collected or the ride has started | Cannot be cancelled. A return is priced and agreed before it happens | Not applicable |
- Repeat cancellations: your third paid cancellation within 24 hours, and each one after it, costs twice the usual fee. Waiting already used is not doubled
- Waiting: the driver waits 5 minutes at the pickup free of charge. After that, waiting costs ₦200 for each started 5 minutes, up to ₦1,000 for a parcel and ₦200 for a ride. A parcel booking carries a deposit, taken with the fare: currently ₦1,000 where the heaviest package is up to 5 kg, ₦1,500 up to 20 kg, ₦2,000 up to 50 kg and ₦3,000 above (₦200 for a ride, and the ₦1,000 waiting amount alone where every drop is to a partner counter). It pays any waiting and, if nobody can receive the parcel, the redirection in Section 8.2; whatever is not used is returned to you automatically when the job ends. Waiting only counts while the driver is at the pickup, and never before the booked pickup time
- No-show: if you are not at the pickup after the driver has waited 10 minutes and tried to reach you, the driver may leave. You then pay the fee for a cancellation once a driver is on the way, plus any waiting used
- If no driver takes your booking within the time shown in the app, currently 30 minutes, it is cancelled and refunded in full. If a driver cancels, your booking goes to another driver at no cost to you
- If a driver cannot complete a job because the parcel does not match its description, is heavier than declared or is unsafe, because the booking was for the wrong service, or because the sender is not at the pickup, the sender pays the service fee and the driver's pay for the wasted trip (currently ₦200 plus fuel for the distance travelled). SEIRS support reviews every such report before any amount is kept; if no decision is made within 48 hours, the sender is refunded in full
- Travel Buddy: cancel more than 24 hours before departure, or within 30 minutes of paying while departure is still more than 2 hours away, and the fare is refunded. Cancel between 24 and 2 hours before departure and half the fare is refunded, with the driver paid for the rest. Cancel within 2 hours of departure and nothing is refunded. The service fee is not refunded on any of these. Once the driver has arrived at your boarding point, the seat can no longer be cancelled and the no-show rule below applies
- Travel Buddy: a passenger who is not at the agreed boarding point when the driver has waited 15 minutes forfeits the fare. If the driver cancels the trip or does not come, every passenger is refunded in full, including the service fee
- If you cannot keep a booking because of the death or hospitalisation of the person it was for, contact support with proof and any fee or forfeited fare is refunded in full
- No card-processing charges are deducted from refunds. Refunds go back to the original card, bank transfer or USSD payment. A refund smaller than our payment provider's minimum (currently ₦100) is raised to that minimum
- Failed delivery: if nobody is available to receive a parcel and it is taken to a partner store, the redirection and counter fees in Section 8.2 apply (at least ₦1,000). They are paid from the sender's deposit first, and anything beyond it before the parcel is released
7. Delivery Terms
- Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed; they depend on traffic, weather, and driver availability
- Our liability for a lost or damaged package is limited to ₦50,000, unless a higher value is agreed in writing. Declaring a value in the app sets the handover checks for your parcel; it does not raise this limit
- Report damage within 48 hours of delivery, and a missing parcel within 14 days of booking. The periods shown in the app at the time apply
- SEIRS is not liable for packages that cannot be delivered due to inaccessible addresses, recipient unavailability after two attempts, or customer-provided incorrect information
- You can let people send you parcels without knowing your address. Under Receive parcels in the app you choose one of your saved addresses and get a receive code to share. Anyone with the code can send a parcel to that address. They see your first name and your area; the driver sees the address and your phone number, as for any delivery
- Your receive code is not your SEIRS ID, which is used to collect parcels and should be kept private. You can make a new receive code at any time, which stops the old one working, or turn receiving off
8. Undeliverable Packages, Storage and Disposal
This section applies when a package cannot be handed to the recipient at the delivery address. It sets out what we do, what it costs, and how long we hold a package before it is treated as abandoned. Where an amount is shown in the SEIRS app at the time of booking, that amount applies.
8.1 Failed delivery attempts
- Where a driver arrives and cannot complete the handover, the driver will attempt to contact the sender and, where a channel is available, the recipient
- If there is no response within the response window shown in the app, the matter is escalated to SEIRS support
- Where support does not resolve the matter within the timeout shown in the app, the package may be moved to the nearest available SEIRS partner counter for safekeeping
- The sender and, where a channel is available, the recipient will be notified before a package is moved, including the counter location, the amount payable and the collection deadline
8.2 Redirection and counter fees
- Moving a package to a partner counter attracts a redirection fee reflecting the additional distance travelled and the counter's intake charge
- Where the failure arises from the recipient's unavailability or an incorrect address supplied by the sender, the redirection and counter fees are paid from the sender's deposit first. Anything the deposit does not cover is payable by the party responsible before the package is released
- Where the failure arises from an error by SEIRS, no redirection or counter fee is charged
- A collection code is issued only once any amount due has been settled in the app. Partner counter staff do not collect payment and are not authorised to release a package without a valid code
8.3 Storage
- Packages held at a partner counter are stored free of charge for the free storage window shown in the app, currently 3 days
- After that window, storage is charged for each day the counter is open, by weight: currently ₦200 up to 5 kg, ₦300 up to 20 kg, ₦500 up to 50 kg and ₦800 above, until the package is collected, returned or disposed of
- Storage charges are payable before the package is released, and can be paid in the app together with any redirection fee
- If you find a partner counter shut during its listed opening hours, you can report it in the app from the counter. If SEIRS confirms it, that day's storage is not charged
- SEIRS holds packages as bailee only and does not insure stored packages beyond the liability limit in Section 7
8.4 Perishable and temperature-sensitive items
Food and other perishable or temperature-sensitive items cannot be stored. Where such an item cannot be delivered, SEIRS will attempt to contact the sender, and if the item cannot be delivered or returned within the perishable window shown in the app, it may be disposed of on the same day. Photographic evidence of disposal is retained. No refund of the delivery fee is due where the failure did not arise from an error by SEIRS.
8.5 Uncollected packages and abandonment
- A package that remains uncollected beyond the abandonment threshold shown in the app, currently 14 days after it reaches a counter, with no return arranged, may be treated as abandoned. The sender is reminded after 5 days and given final notice 2 days before
- Before a package is treated as abandoned, SEIRS will give notice to the sender and, where a channel is available, the recipient, stating the deadline and the amounts outstanding
- SEIRS may dispose of an abandoned package. Disposal is recorded with photographic evidence and the record is retained
- Amounts outstanding at the point of disposal remain payable and disposal does not extinguish them
- SEIRS does not sell abandoned packages
8.6 Return to sender
- A sender may request that an undeliverable package be returned to the original pickup address. The pickup address for a return cannot be changed
- A return is charged as a delivery from the package's current location to the pickup address, together with any counter and storage fees already accrued. A return quote can be requested in the app at any time; for a bulky or unusual item, SEIRS support quotes it
- Where a package is already with a driver, a return must be arranged through SEIRS support before the driver is redirected
8.7 Recipient obligations
- A sender is responsible for supplying a correct delivery address and correct recipient contact details
- Where a recipient is not a registered SEIRS user, notifications depend on the contact details supplied by the sender and SEIRS cannot guarantee that they are received
- Charges arising from an incorrect address or unreachable recipient are payable by the sender
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy our platform
- Create fake accounts, impersonate others, or provide false information
- Use our platform to harass, defraud, or harm other users
- Circumvent payment systems or attempt to avoid legitimate fees
10. Suspension and Termination
SEIRS may suspend or permanently deactivate your account, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- We suspect fraudulent activity
- You provide false registration information
- You cause harm to other users, drivers, or partner stores
- Required by law or regulatory order
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Where a driver or partner store account is closed with earnings still accrued, those earnings are paid out to a verified Nigerian bank account under Section 6. Senders hold no balance with SEIRS, so nothing is returned on closure beyond any refund already due on a booking.
11. Intellectual Property
The SEIRS name, brand, software, designs and content are owned by or licensed to SEIRS Company Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our express written permission.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." SEIRS does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions, third-party failures (banks, telecoms, map providers), or circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, SEIRS' total liability to you for any claim arising from use of our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, with Lagos as the seat of arbitration. Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing a small claim in a Nigerian court of competent jurisdiction.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
